Two Lane Journal is a small, independent reader about road trips, scenic drives and traveling at a slower pace. We started it after one unplanned detour turned a routine drive home into the best part of a weekend.

Everything here comes from our own trips and from letters readers send in. We do not run sponsored posts and we do not sell anything. If a guide mentions a diner, a bookstore or an overlook, it is because we went there and liked it.
